What happens if multiple lessons are tied to the same assessment category?

Sometimes, a single assessment category may be tied to multiple lessons, quizzes or assessments. For example, a course may have a total of 3 pop quizzes that collectively weigh towards 20% of the course final grade.

In this case, the individual grades of all 3 pop quizzes will be averaged, and then adjusted to contribute towards the 20% weightage of the course final grade.

So if a student scored 60%, 80% and 100% on 3 pop quizzes, the average score for the quiz category will be 80%. SInce quizzes are worth 20% of the final grade, this learner’s quiz score will contribute 16% towards the course final grade.
