How are GPA and CGPA calculated?

GPA is calculated based on the following formula:

For example, let’s say that a student scored A for English, and B for Math and Science:

  • A = 4.00, B = 3.00

  • English = 5 credit values, Math and Science = 3 credit values


CGPA formula 

CGPA is calculated based on the following formula:

For example, let’s say that a student scored the following GPAs:

  • Term 1: GPA = 3.00; credit values = 12

  • Term 2: GPA = 4.00; credit values = 15
