Simple security measures

  • The best security strategy is a good backup!
  • We test our restoration procedures!
  • Load only software or services you will use.
  • Perform regular updates.

We Run regular updates

  • We use auto update systems.
  • Windows Update.
  • Linux: up2date, yum, apt-get.
  • We clear logs and junk files weekly.

Be prepared for the worst

  • We have backups ready in AWS S3.
  • Practice recovery procedures ahead of time, 2 time every year.
  • we prepared the audit list and check for all system and hardware vulnerabilities.

Miscellaneous considerations

These are all things you might consider that impact your overall security:

  • Use the secure forms setting.
  • Always set a mysql & MSSSQL root user password.
  • Turn off mysql network access.
  • Use SSL, httpslogins=yes.
  • Disable guest access.
