Chatting without Internet

The Chat function in the BeED app allows you to connect and chat with your peers or educators directly through your mobile device’s bluetooth function.

How to Access Chat 

1. From the Library, tap on “Tools” in the main sidebar. 

2. Tap on “Chat”. The app will then ask for Bluetooth and Location permissions from your device.

Public Broadcast

1. You can also broadcast a message for all to read within your Bluetooth network by tapping on the icon:

2. Directly type in a message you’d like to broadcast and tap on the send icon. 

Important Note:

When you switch from Chat to other functionalities within the BeED app, you will not receive messages or notifications through the Chat function until you access it again.

Push Notification

1. To receive messages or notifications when you’re in other functionalities, tap on the menu icon:

2. Tap on “Account Settings”:

3. Tap on “Offline Chat”:

4. Tap on the “Initialize when app starts” slider.

5. You will then receive messages wherever you are in the app.
